Flowers and Deities Origins Tier List
Letter grades for the four recorded commanders, not for fan-fiction idols.
This origins tier list is narrower than the unit list on purpose. We can grade four demo commanders and two faiths. We cannot grade the extra 1.0 portraits without inventing them. If your New Profile screen shows a name that is not here, use the Origins and Faiths read and park the letter until the encyclopedia has a paragraph.
Commanders
Tribal Survivor — S for documented power, A for “I have never played.” The public run made dodge look like a cheat code against jaguar columns. That is evidence, not a law. If you dislike managing light-armor loot tags, he will feel worse than the letter.
Destitute Noblewoman — A. Cheap Favor is a hidden stat. She teaches the game’s real skill: keeping fillers on the bar. Players who replace every servant with a capture will grade her C and be wrong.
Young Warrior — A for learning, B for a second campaign. Balanced spears and shields are how you learn ranks. After you can finish a 6×5, you may want a sharper verb.
Iron Bulwark — A on heal faiths, B on bleed faiths unless you plan the corpses. Heavy armor is honest. It is also slow to pivot when a node offers only light-armor loot.
Unnamed 1.0 archetypes: unranked. Launch says eight are unlocked. Eight minus four is not a license to guess.
Faiths
Quetzalcoatl / Feathered Serpent — S for first clears. Healing covers formation sins. It also starves shade items. Take it if your goal is to finish the grid.
Flayed Lord — A for players who already understand blood, B for a first profile. Wound builds pop off when the sand is dirty and look confused when you stomp cleanly.
Two more 1.0 faiths: unranked. Right-click and file them under heal, death, hunt, or weather using Blessings language.
Pairs
Survivor + Serpent — S documented. Dodge plus heal. The video exists.
Noblewoman + Serpent — A. Servants plus heal is a castle made of people.
Bulwark + Serpent — A. The most obvious castle. Slow, stable, allergic to light-armor shops.
Survivor + Flayed — A if you like arguments. Dodge wants you untouched; bleed wants someone bleeding. You can make it work. You will skip loot.
Bulwark + Flayed — B until you prove you can generate corpses that are not your wall.
Warrior + either — A as a classroom, B as a third replay.
These letters will move when more English-language 1.0 runs exist. They will not move because a screenshot of a new idol looked cool. For executable plans, use Starter Builds. For a blunt unit job chart, use the Units Tier List.
If you came here from the review looking for a “play this origin or refund,” the honest answer is: play Survivor or Warrior first, finish one grid, then pick a fight with the Flayed Lord.
A last warning about letters: they are not a permission to skip Getting Started. An S-tier pair in the hands of someone who forges last and recruits first is a B-tier evening. The grade assumes you will unlock a slot, spend blood on purpose, and refuse the wrong loot tag. If that sounds like work, it is. The campaign is long enough to punish a cute pick you never learned to deploy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers drawn from the current Steam build.
Why are new 1.0 origins unranked?
We have not seen their English tooltips in a source we trust. Unranked is honest. Invented names would not be.
Is Quetzalcoatl required?
No. It is the easiest first faith. The Flayed Lord is a better teacher of blood if you already finished a grid.
Can a C-tier pair still clear the campaign?
Yes. Letters are speed and comfort, not a lock on hidden arenas.
Where should I go after picking a pair?
Starter Builds for the job, then Getting Started if the city still feels like a maze.
