Forge and Enchantments

The Forge is the building that separates a Flowers and Deities commander from a tourist. Campaign updates in April reworked the blacksmith. Next Fest improved forging and reforging. Launch said the Shop and Forge were greatly improved again and that all weapon enchantment damage went up. If you still treat the Forge as a place to stare, you are playing the mid-game boss on purpose.

Read Magic Items for slots. This page is the cash register.

What the Forge sells besides toys

Early visits hand you a bundle: a spear, a light armor, a spell dagger. You often receive all three rather than a single exclusive. That is the tutorial. Later visits sell rerolls, discounted heavies, and quality jumps from common to rare to heroic and beyond.

Rerolls cost a flat fee in the recorded run (10 of the green currency). Use them when the bundle is the wrong loot tag, not when you are bored. A light-armor origin that rerolls away a jaguar hide to “see the next axe” is how S-tier jobs become B-tier inventories.

Physical Training and extra weapon slots are Forge-adjacent gold sinks on the loadout screen. They are still Forge thinking: you are buying the right to wear a piece you already own. Do this before you buy a fourth Tower peasant.

Quality and enchantments

Quality is a vertical. A heroic piece with a boring modifier can beat a rare piece with a funny one if the wearer is your actual front. The demo run tried to push a liked item up a class and bounced on currency or a heroic cap. That is normal. Save the big jump for the item that already pays the origin.

Weapon enchantments were globally buffed at launch. If you last played in June, re-read poison, burn, and wound lines. They are less shy. Enchantment still wants a legal weapon slot. An enchanted warhammer on a unit who cannot hold it is a story you tell the Tower.

Reforge is for modifier shopping. Use it when the piece is the right type and the wrong sentence. Do not reforge a limited spear into something a spearman cannot wear. The game will let you be clever and then sad.

Feather Ornaments

Launch added Feather Ornaments: legendary units consume feathers to raise attributes and “forge your own legendary army.” This is a late-campaign sink for the resources playtesters said they were drowning in. Feed the legendary you already deploy. Do not hoard feathers for a mythical name Slave Hunting has not given you yet.

Honor Feather events existed in the April campaign update. If a city event offers a feather upgrade, read whether it targets a unit on the bar or a trophy in reserve. Reserve feathers are how you bankrupt a promotion.

A Forge loop you can repeat

  1. Unlock the missing slot on the unit you click first every series.
  2. Equip the loot-tag piece from the last node.
  3. Sell the duplicate common.
  4. Reroll only if the bundle is the wrong tag.
  5. Quality-up the one item that already wins fights.
  6. If a legendary is on the bar, spend a feather.
  7. Leave the building.

If step 7 takes twenty minutes, you have failed the loop. How to Beat the Campaign is the sermon. Controls is the UI scale and Low-End Mode reminder for when the Forge slideshow stutters.

Blessings that mention unused capacity can make you leave a slot empty on purpose. That is a graduate trick. Earn it after one finished 6×5, not during the first Thorned Path.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers drawn from the current Steam build.

Should I reroll the first Forge bundle?

Only if every piece fights your origin. Early bundles often give you all three items. Wear them before you reroll for style.

What are Feather Ornaments?

A 1.0 feature. Legendary units eat feathers to gain attributes. Spend them on a legend you already deploy.

Did weapon enchantments change at launch?

Yes. Launch notes increased all weapon enchantment damage. Re-read poison and wound lines if you last played the demo.

Why can’t I upgrade this heroic item?

You may lack the currency, or the quality cap for that visit is already reached. Save the jump for a later promotion.
